Il significativo contributo, finanziato esclusivamente con le quote sociali dei membri del club, è stato consegnato in occasione del 50esimo anniversario

In occasione del suo 50° anniversario, il Panathlon Club Sopraceneri – nato nel 1975 con l’obiettivo di promuovere lo sport come veicolo di crescita personale, educativa e civile – ha voluto sottolineare il proprio impegno per lo sport e la solidarietà con un gesto concreto: una donazione di 10mila franchi alla Società Pattinaggio Lavizzara (Spl). Un contributo significativo, reso possibile grazie esclusivamente alle quote sociali dei membri del Club, senza il sostegno di sponsor esterni. Il contributo è stato consegnato ufficialmente durante il 5° Convivio del Club, tenutosi martedì 10 giugno presso il Centro Sportivo della Lavizzara. Una sede scelta non a caso: duramente colpito dall’alluvione che ha investito l’Alta Vallemaggia nel giugno 2024, il centro sportivo è diventato simbolo di resilienza e ripartenza per l’intera regione. Proprio qui, lo sport ha saputo ricucire legami, ridare fiducia e rilanciare lo spirito comunitario.

La serata – intitolata “Una ferita da ricucire: uniti attraverso lo sport per la rinascita dell’Alta Vallemaggia” – ha offerto l’occasione per conoscere da vicino l’attività della Spl, attraverso testimonianze dirette e racconti di impegno quotidiano. Un confronto prezioso sul ruolo sociale delle realtà sportive locali e sulle sfide che le attendono, tra esigenze di sostegno, visione e partecipazione attiva. «Con questo gesto concreto vogliamo esprimere la nostra vicinanza a una realtà che incarna in modo autentico i valori del Panathlon: passione, determinazione, inclusione e comunità», ha dichiarato il presidente del Club, l'ex giocatore di hockey Ivan Gazzaroli.

Le Président-Fondateur du Panathlon Club Junior Rome, Lorenzo D’Ilario, a été reçu par le Président du Panathlon Club Nice Côte d’Azur, Richard Papazian, en présence du Vice-Président du District France du Panathlon International, Jean-Gérard Guarino. La rencontre s’est déroulée à Nice dans le restaurant Lou Balico le 20 mai 2025.

La visite de courtoisie a révélé une forte convergence de vues sur l’ensemble des sujets abordés: promotion des valeurs du sport, engagement des jeunes, modifications statutaires entre autres.

Étaient également présents deux Conseillers du Club Nice Côte d’Azur: le Secrétaire Michel Boudet et le Trésorier Robert François.

Les déclarations

Richard Papazian (Président du Club Nice Côte d’Azur du Panathlon International): « Le Panathlon Nice Côte d'Azur a vivement apprécié la prise de contact de Lorenzo D’Ilario, jeune et dynamique président du Panathlon Junior de Rome, et nous nous sommes réjouis de le recevoir. Quoique relativement brefs, cette rencontre a donné lieu avec spontanéité à des échanges intéressants et susceptibles de préfigurer quelques axes porteurs de développement, à la fois pour le club que j'ai l'honneur de présider et à l’échelle internationale. La cellule panathlonienne qu’anime avec engagement et allant évidents Lorenzo D’Ilario forme un signe gratifiant et encourageant de renouveau et d’essor du Panathlon. À tous les niveaux, cependant, le Panathlon est encore loin de pleinement exercer le rôle correspondant à son merveilleux potentiel. Ce développement exige avec volontarisme et audace, autrement dit avec l’esprit sportif qui nous unit, un courageux changement statutaire apte à libérer une vaste ouverture stratégique, qui se traduirait par des axes d’action multipliés et diversifiés. Dans ce sens, la jeune initiative romaine insuffle à notre groupe niçois une aspiration accrue à une telle dynamisation de notre activité, mais aussi de nos objectifs. Loin de nous éloigner de la vocation et de la mission du Panathlon International, cette montée en puissance et cette diversification formeraient les manifestations les plus authentiques de la fidélité au vœu de ses fondateurs. Enfin, au fil d’un projet, les synergies et tout simplement les liens humains qu’il suscite entre ceux qui s’attellent à le réaliser, ne constituent certes pas notre moindre valeur. Par des rendez-vous conviviaux et réguliers, attendus par nos membres, je me suis toujours attaché, notamment dans les circonstances les plus débilitantes, à perpétuer ces moments au sein du Panathlon Nice Côte d’Azur ».

 Jean-Gérard Guarino (Vice-Président du District France du Panathlon International): « Le club Nice Côte d’Azur du Panathlon International a été particulièrement heureux d’accueillir Lorenzo D’Ilario, président de l’important club Panathlon Junior de Rome. Des échanges positifs ont eu lieu au fil de cette sympathique rencontre. Le Panathlon International gagnerait à un rajeunissement direct et rapide, non pas prioritairement en termes d’âge de ses membres, mais de dynamisation et surtout d'inflexion de ses actions. Cette vitalisation ne devrait donc pas être le propre exclusif de clubs junior, animés comme celui de Rome par un bel élan. L’indispensable ouverture à de nouvelles initiatives porteuses d’avenir exigerait une profonde modification des statuts et du fonctionnement du Panathlon, au niveau international et à celui de chacun de ses échelons. Allant de pair avec une telle réforme, il importerait d'emprunter nombre d’autres pistes d’activité et de développement. Ce serait à mon sens la plus authentique manière d’être fidèle à l’esprit des fondateurs et à la vocation du Panathlon ».

 Lorenzo D’Ilario (Président du Club Junior Rome du Panathlon International): « En tant que Président Fondateur du Panathlon Club Junior Rome, je remercie chaleureusement le Président du Panathlon Club Nice Côte d’Azur Richard Papazian, le Secrétaire Michel Boudet, le Trésorier Robert François et le Vice-Président du District France du Panathlon International Jean-Gérard Guarino pour leur accueil chaleureux. Cette rencontre est une reconnaissance importante du lien intergénérationnel entre les deux communautés. Considérant d’une part l’étendue et la profondeur de l’amitié qui unit l’Italie et la France, qui dans le cas de Nice et de la Côte d’Azur est également ancrée dans l’histoire et la géographie, et d’autre part le jumelage exclusif qui lie Rome et Paris depuis près de soixante-dix ans, le Panathlon Club Junior Rome a toujours veillé à promouvoir un parcours culturel, social et sportif commun. Ce n’est pas un hasard que la première initiative publique depuis le jour de notre fondation a eu lieu à l’Institut français Centre Saint-Louis de Rome pendant le Festival Francofilm 2022, à l’occasion duquel nous avons décerné un prix du cinéma sportif au film ‘Slalom’ de la réalisatrice française Charlène Favier pour avoir dénoncé le fléau des abus sexuels dans le monde du sport de haut niveau à travers une analyse minutieuse du rapport entre l’entraîneur et l’athlète. En outre, à notre avis, le Panathlon International peut jouer un rôle décisif dans la relance du Traité du Quirinal, qui se concentre expressément sur la culture, la jeunesse et la société civile, en confirmant l’engagement mutuel à encourager les échanges sociaux et la mobilité des nouvelles générations, ainsi qu’à renforcer la coopération entre les institutions et les organismes culturels. À la lumière de ce qui précède, en commençant par notre projet curriculaire ‘Planet Olympia: les valeurs du sport racontées par les champions’ visant à promouvoir l’éthique et la culture sportives dans les écoles et les universités italiennes, nous nous efforcerons d’organiser des initiatives de confrontation et d’échanges d’expériences entre les jeunes Français qui étudient et travaillent à Rome et les athlètes olympiques et paralympiques ».

Der 20. Grazer Laufcup ging an drei Terminen sehr erfolgreich unter großer Beteiligung über die Bühne: 1.April, 23. April und 14. Mai 2025. 

2000 Kinder waren im ASKÖ-Stadion in Eggenberg dabei und hatten sichtlich Spaß an der Bewegung. Seit 20 Jahren veranstaltet das Sportamt der Stadt Graz das Event mit dem Ziel, den Schulkindern Freude an Bewegung zu vermitteln. Jeder Lauf dauerte für Volksschulkinder

30 Minuten, gewertet wurde die Anzahl der gelaufenen Runden.

Der Panathlon Club Graz hat wie jedes Jahr die Schule mit den meisten teilnehmenden Kindern mit einem Preisgeld von 400 Euro unterstützt. Wir gratulieren der VS Algersdorf sehr herzlich.o.

El Presidente del Panatlón Colombiano, Guillermo Gonzales, tuvo el honor de compartir algunos momentos en las Olimpiadas Iberoamericanas Fides Compensar en Colombia.

Un día extraordinario lleno de emoción y alegría.

Las XXV Olimpiadas Especiales FIDES - Compensar, que celebran los 50 años de la Fundación FIDES, tienen lugar del 1 al 7 de junio de 2025 en Bogotá. El evento reúne a más de 1.800 atletas con discapacidad cognitiva de ocho países iberoamericanos: Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, Panamá, Aruba, México y Colombia, junto con sus familias y entrenadores.

La ceremonia de apertura estuvo marcada por el desfile de las delegaciones y el encendido de la «Llama de la Amistad», símbolo de unidad y espíritu deportivo. Las competencias se realizan en instalaciones deportivas como la sede de Compensar en la Avenida 68 y la Unidad Deportiva El Salitre.

En el evento participan más de 900 voluntarios y se espera la asistencia de alrededor de 5.000 espectadores. Las Olimpiadas Especiales FIDES - Compensar son un símbolo de inclusión y superación, promoviendo la igualdad y el respeto a través del deporte.

The European Fair Play Movement's annual congress, awards ceremony, and general assembly took place on May 18 and 19 at the International Olympic Academy in ancient-Olympia, Greece. Organized under the auspices of the European Olympic Committees and the International Commission for Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSPSE), these events brought together 27 representatives from European Olympic Committees, European Olympic Academies, National Fair Play Committees, and European and international sports organizations.

On May 19, World Fair Play Day, the EFPM held its annual general assembly. This provided the opportunity to hold elections for all positions on the Board of Directors. The election of the new Executive Committee saw the re-election of the outgoing president for a further four-year term.

The Belgian Olympic athlete, founder of Panathlon Wallonia-Brussels, Philippe Housiaux, was re-elected for a further four-year term. declared: "Responsibility and pride; it is by a very large majority that the 29 countries and European institutions re-elected me as President of the European Fair Play Movement; my re-election in Olympia adds an additional dimension to the commitment I have had for so many years; I also appreciate the opportunity given to me to be able to give a positive impulse to the whole of Europe; the Panathlon Wallonia-Brussels school trained me for this; this appointment comes on May 19, World Fair Play Day; a project initiated in French-speaking Belgium in 2013; pride and responsibility."

Saturday 24th May has taken place, online on Zoom platform, the Extraordinary General Assembly of Panathlon International, convened for the approval of the budgets for the biennium 2025/2026.

106 Clubs have registered to participate, together with numerous Panathletes connected to follow the works. 

During the assembly, the International President Giorgio Chinellato illustrated some relevant aspects of the current activity and the future perspectives, giving a clear and articulate vision of Panathlon action at international level.

At the end of the works, it has been proceeded to the vote of the budgets which, with the following result: 39 votes in favour, 37 against and 6 abstained, have been approved.

A result that rewards the programme presented by the Board, even if it raises several questions about a reduced participation in the vote on which some reflection will be necessary.

On May 14th, 2025, Panathlon International’s Culture, Research and Education Commission (PI-CREC) successfully hosted the second edition of its Webinar Series, focusing on the increasingly critical issue of match-fixing and betting integrity in sport.

The session, titled “Match-fixing and betting integrity: The challenge of the 21st century”, was coordinated by the PI-CREC Member, Fábio Figueiras (Portugal) and brought together experts and members of the Panathlon community for an evening of education, debate, and awareness-raising.

The event opened at 21:00 (CET) with greetings from Fábio Figueiras, who then gave the floor to Giorgio Chinellato, President of Panathlon International. In his welcome message, President Chinellato emphasized the importance of tackling corruption in sport and upholding Panathlon’s values of fair play and ethics.

At 21:10, João Paulo Almeida delivered a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation covering the main concepts, challenges, and emerging trends in match-fixing. This set the stage for the interactive panel discussion that followed.

Beginning at 21:30, panelists Nuno Perestrelo, João Paulo Almeida, and Fábio Figueiras explored key topics such as:

• Role of education and Panathlon Clubs contribution to this 

• Responsibilities of sports federations and the media

• Key risks, including illegal betting and inside Information

At 21:50, the discussion was opened to questions from the audience.

The webinar concluded at 22:05 with a summary and final remarks by Fábio Figueiras, who underscored the need for continued dialogue, international cooperation, and proactive solutions to safeguard the integrity of sport.

To ensure accessibility and inclusivity, the session was conducted in Portuguese, with automatic subtitle translation into multiple languages available through Zoom.

Panathlon International thanks all speakers, participants, and attendees for their valuable contributions. The Commission remains committed to promoting ethical values in sport through education, dialogue, and awareness-raising initiatives.

Le Fair-Play, ce n’est pas qu’un mot. C’est un état d’esprit, un engagement, une manière d’agir… chaque jour, partout, pour toutes et tous.

En ce 19 mai, date symbolique reconnue par l’ONU, nous célébrons ensemble ce qui nous unit : respect, inclusion, esprit d’équipe…

Et nos membres ont été nombreux à se mobiliser pour transmettre un message fort et positif.
