Der 20. Grazer Laufcup ging an drei Terminen sehr erfolgreich unter großer Beteiligung über die Bühne: 1.April, 23. April und 14. Mai 2025. 

2000 Kinder waren im ASKÖ-Stadion in Eggenberg dabei und hatten sichtlich Spaß an der Bewegung. Seit 20 Jahren veranstaltet das Sportamt der Stadt Graz das Event mit dem Ziel, den Schulkindern Freude an Bewegung zu vermitteln. Jeder Lauf dauerte für Volksschulkinder

30 Minuten, gewertet wurde die Anzahl der gelaufenen Runden.

Der Panathlon Club Graz hat wie jedes Jahr die Schule mit den meisten teilnehmenden Kindern mit einem Preisgeld von 400 Euro unterstützt. Wir gratulieren der VS Algersdorf sehr herzlich.o.

Un día extraordinario lleno de emoción y alegría.

Las XXV Olimpiadas Especiales FIDES - Compensar, que celebran los 50 años de la Fundación FIDES, tienen lugar del 1 al 7 de junio de 2025 en Bogotá. El evento reúne a más de 1.800 atletas con discapacidad cognitiva de ocho países iberoamericanos: Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, Panamá, Aruba, México y Colombia, junto con sus familias y entrenadores.

La ceremonia de apertura estuvo marcada por el desfile de las delegaciones y el encendido de la «Llama de la Amistad», símbolo de unidad y espíritu deportivo. Las competencias se realizan en instalaciones deportivas como la sede de Compensar en la Avenida 68 y la Unidad Deportiva El Salitre.

En el evento participan más de 900 voluntarios y se espera la asistencia de alrededor de 5.000 espectadores. Las Olimpiadas Especiales FIDES - Compensar son un símbolo de inclusión y superación, promoviendo la igualdad y el respeto a través del deporte.

The European Fair Play Movement's annual congress, awards ceremony, and general assembly took place on May 18 and 19 at the International Olympic Academy in ancient-Olympia, Greece. Organized under the auspices of the European Olympic Committees and the International Commission for Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSPSE), these events brought together 27 representatives from European Olympic Committees, European Olympic Academies, National Fair Play Committees, and European and international sports organizations.

On May 19, World Fair Play Day, the EFPM held its annual general assembly. This provided the opportunity to hold elections for all positions on the Board of Directors. The election of the new Executive Committee saw the re-election of the outgoing president for a further four-year term.

The Belgian Olympic athlete, founder of Panathlon Wallonia-Brussels, Philippe Housiaux, was re-elected for a further four-year term. declared: "Responsibility and pride; it is by a very large majority that the 29 countries and European institutions re-elected me as President of the European Fair Play Movement; my re-election in Olympia adds an additional dimension to the commitment I have had for so many years; I also appreciate the opportunity given to me to be able to give a positive impulse to the whole of Europe; the Panathlon Wallonia-Brussels school trained me for this; this appointment comes on May 19, World Fair Play Day; a project initiated in French-speaking Belgium in 2013; pride and responsibility."

Saturday 24th May has taken place, online on Zoom platform, the Extraordinary General Assembly of Panathlon International, convened for the approval of the budgets for the biennium 2025/2026.

106 Clubs have registered to participate, together with numerous Panathletes connected to follow the works. 

During the assembly, the International President Giorgio Chinellato illustrated some relevant aspects of the current activity and the future perspectives, giving a clear and articulate vision of Panathlon action at international level.

At the end of the works, it has been proceeded to the vote of the budgets which, with the following result: 39 votes in favour, 37 against and 6 abstained, have been approved.

A result that rewards the programme presented by the Board, even if it raises several questions about a reduced participation in the vote on which some reflection will be necessary.

On May 14th, 2025, Panathlon International’s Culture, Research and Education Commission (PI-CREC) successfully hosted the second edition of its Webinar Series, focusing on the increasingly critical issue of match-fixing and betting integrity in sport.

The session, titled “Match-fixing and betting integrity: The challenge of the 21st century”, was coordinated by the PI-CREC Member, Fábio Figueiras (Portugal) and brought together experts and members of the Panathlon community for an evening of education, debate, and awareness-raising.

The event opened at 21:00 (CET) with greetings from Fábio Figueiras, who then gave the floor to Giorgio Chinellato, President of Panathlon International. In his welcome message, President Chinellato emphasized the importance of tackling corruption in sport and upholding Panathlon’s values of fair play and ethics.

At 21:10, João Paulo Almeida delivered a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation covering the main concepts, challenges, and emerging trends in match-fixing. This set the stage for the interactive panel discussion that followed.

Beginning at 21:30, panelists Nuno Perestrelo, João Paulo Almeida, and Fábio Figueiras explored key topics such as:

• Role of education and Panathlon Clubs contribution to this 

• Responsibilities of sports federations and the media

• Key risks, including illegal betting and inside Information

At 21:50, the discussion was opened to questions from the audience.

The webinar concluded at 22:05 with a summary and final remarks by Fábio Figueiras, who underscored the need for continued dialogue, international cooperation, and proactive solutions to safeguard the integrity of sport.

To ensure accessibility and inclusivity, the session was conducted in Portuguese, with automatic subtitle translation into multiple languages available through Zoom.

Panathlon International thanks all speakers, participants, and attendees for their valuable contributions. The Commission remains committed to promoting ethical values in sport through education, dialogue, and awareness-raising initiatives.

Le Fair-Play, ce n’est pas qu’un mot. C’est un état d’esprit, un engagement, une manière d’agir… chaque jour, partout, pour toutes et tous.

En ce 19 mai, date symbolique reconnue par l’ONU, nous célébrons ensemble ce qui nous unit : respect, inclusion, esprit d’équipe…

Et nos membres ont été nombreux à se mobiliser pour transmettre un message fort et positif.

PI-Präsident Chinellato mit Alphornklängen empfangen

Giorgio Chinellato, Präsident von Panathlon International (PI), besuchte die Delegiertenversammlung des Schweizer Distrikts in Neuchâtel am Samstag, den 26.04.2025. Er wurde von Schweiz-Präsident Peter Wüthrich mit urchigen Alphorn-Klängen auf dem Neuenburger Hausberg Chaumont empfangen. 

Die Traktanden der Distriktversammlung wurden alle ohne Diskussionen im Schnellgang durchgearbeitet.

Ys. Bereits am Vorabend der Distriktversammlung hiess der Schweizer Präsident Peter Wüthrich seinen internationalen Kollegen mit typisch schweizerischen Alphornklängen herzlich willkommen. Auf dem Aussichtsturm des Neuenburger Hausbergs Chaumont spielte Wüthrich mit seinem Volks-Instrument dem Venezianer ein musikalisches Willkommen und zeigte ihm die landschaftlichen Schönheiten des Schweizer Distrikts.

Am Samstag wurde die Distriktversammlung mit der Begrüssung durch den Conseiller d’Etat Frédéric Mairy eröffnet. Er zog u.a. ein umfassendes Résumé zu den sportlichen Höhepunkten der Stadt Neuenburg und hiess die Delegierten von 20 Clubs willkommen. Alice Holzer, die für die WEURO 2025 der Frauen im Sommer für das Legacy-Projekt verantwortlich ist, brachte mit einem faktenreichen und empathischen Referat den internationalen wie nationalen Frauenfussball und das wichtigste Grossereignis dieses Sommers den Delegierten auf eine lockere und engagierte Art und Weise näher. Sie ist überzeugt, dass die WEURO in der Schweiz den Frauenfussball um Jahre nach vorne katapultieren wird. Folgende Ziele werden angestrebt: 

- Verdoppelung der Anzahl Spielerinnen im Breitensport

- Verdoppelung der Anzahl Konsumenten/innen an den Spielen der Elite-Ligen

- Stärkung des Einflusses von Frauen in den wichtigen Gremien

Präsident Peter Wüthrich eröffnete anschliessend den offiziellen Teil der Distriktversammlung und übergab das Wort an den höchsten Gast, an den PI Präsidenten Giorgio Chinellato: Dieser liess seine ersten Monate im Amt kurz Revue passieren und erklärte seine wichtigsten Ziele: 

- Fairplay in den Schulen fördern

- «One Ocean» – der Kampf für saubere Gewässer

- Stärkung der Kommunikation intern und extern – Panathlon-Bewegung bekannter machen

- Ethik im Sport vorantreiben

- Verhältnis zum IOC ausbauen und intensivieren

- Hikikomori-Projekt weiterverfolgen – Kampf gegen Einsamkeit von Jugendlichen

Zudem erklärte er die aktuellen Sparmassnahmen und machte auf die wichtige Online-Präsidienkonferenz vom 24. Mai 2025 aufmerksam, wo u.a. das neue Spar-Budget abgesegnet werden muss.

Jahresrechnung mit Gewinn

Die üblichen Distriktversammlungs-Traktanden wurden zügig durchgearbeitet und ohne grosse Diskussionen durch gewunken. Präsident Wüthrich zog eine positive Bilanz des Jahres 2024 mit seinem BIV-Raster: Begegnungen (monats-Anlässe der Clubs besuchen), Information (u.a. aktueller Newsletter) und Kontakt-Vermittlung. Er freute sich über die Präsenz von 20 Clubs, hofft aber immer noch, dass einmal alle 32 Clubs anwesend sein werden. Weniger Freude hatte er an den 3 Clubs, die unentschuldigt ferngeblieben sind. Erfreulich hingegen der Finanzabschluss des Jahres 2024. So konnte dank rigorosen Sparmassnahmen ein Gewinn von 3100.- CHF erwirtschaftet werden. 

Beim Jahresprogramm konnte bereits auf den ersten Anlass zurückgeschaut werden: Der Besuch an der Biathlon-WM auf der Lenzerheide war ein schöner Erfolg, wurde von zahlreichen Panathleten/innen besucht und zeigte einen spannenden Einblick hinter die Kulissen dieses Grossanlasses. Weiter stehen auf dem Programm: Die Sport-Talks vom Mo 05.05.2025 in Solothurn (Fussball WEURO) und Zofingen (Auf dem Weg an die Spitze) und die Vorstände-Konferenz in Muri-Gümligen (Fr 29.08.2025). Das Jahr wird dann am Mo, den 03.11.2025 mit dem traditionellen Sportforum in Solothurn abgeschlossen. 

Ein grosses Dankeschön geht ans Neuenburger Organisations-Team mit Diana Barbacci und Präsident Daniel de Martini an der Spitze, welche diese Distriktversammlung an einer wunderschönen Location am Lac de Neuchâtel vorbereiteten und zu einem Erlebnis werden liessen. 

Die nächste Distriktversammlung wird in einem Jahr in Luzern am 18. April 2026 stattfinden.

46 disciplines sportives à découvrir gratuitement en famille

Les Panathlon Family Games®, manifestation phare de la région lausannoise, sont de retour les 17 et 18 mai 2025 ! Jeunes et moins jeunes pourront découvrir et tester 46 sports présentés et encadrés par des clubs. La 14e édition de l’événement populaire du Panathlon Club de Lausanne aura lieu aux Pyramides de Vidy, au Stade Pierre-de-Coubertin et à l’Espace Fair-play. Inscriptions gratuites, dans la limite des places disponibles le samedi.

La formule à succès sur deux journées différentes est reconduite pour la troisième fois depuis la création des Panathlon Family Games® en 2010. Le samedi 17 mai, de petits groupes d’enfants dès 8 ans bénéficieront d’initiations de 45 minutes, encadrés par des monitrices et moniteurs, sans la présence des parents. Le dimanche 18 mai, les expérimentations d’une trentaine de minutes auront lieu sous forme de portes ouvertes en famille, avec des enfants à partir de 6 ans.

Des sports inédits sont au programme à Vidy : l’art du maniement du Katana, la lutte suisse, le trial et le triathlon. L’athlétisme, la voile (bateaux et optimists) et le curling font leur retour. 46 disciplines, un nouveau record, seront présentées au bord du lac par les associations et clubs partenaires (38 sports le samedi, 42 le dimanche). Plus de la moitié des 4’300 sessions du samedi affichent déjà complet ! La participation reste totalement gratuite, en s’inscrivant jusqu’au 14 mai 2025 et dans la limite des places disponibles pour le samedi, sur le site internet www.family-games.ch.
